“Expansion Plan”

 

Parchim International Airport is positioning itself as the international gateway for both Cargo and passengers transportation with a focus on airfreight development. The functions in the attached Customs Bond Zone support each other. The land for 850 hectors will be developed phase by phase under an integrated master plan. According to the airport development plan, the airport will be upgrade to ICAO 4F class airport with parking slot which will be expanded to accommodate scores of wide body aircraft (B747F / AN124F / A380F) in the purpose to cope with the rapid growth demand. The runway and the taxiway will be extended accordingly. The total area of cargo terminal and courier center will reach 100,000m2 with supporting storage facilities of live animals(AVI), dangerous goods(DG), valuable goods(VAL) and perishables(PER) stock areas with variety of temperature control, which will satisfy the needs from airlines operators, logistics and freight forwarding companies, manufacturing enterprises and global trading companies by providing quality and optimized services. 

 

Parchim International Airport will be equipped with aircraft hangers for aircraft series B747 and B777, an aircraft conversion plant from B777 passenger aircraft to cargo aircraft will be established by joint venture with partner companies in Parchim International Airport. Railway will be extended to the airport bond ocean container terminal and the passenger terminal, schedule train from Parchim International Airport to Berlin and Hamburg will be operated every 30 minutes respectively, which will realize the connection of Berlin and Hamburg at Parchim.
