Bombardier sends the first train carriage through Parchim airport

Today, in Goerliz, the first train carriage that is produced by Bombardier for New Delhi-capital of India is loaded. There are more carriages to be transported to India from Parchim airport in the state of Meklenburg this week. A total of nine trains are to be transported next month.

In the past few months, workers and engineers have been trained in Goerliz for the new plant in Savli of India for the installation of over 400 trains. Workers in Germany have also been assigned to work in India.

The new plant of Bombardier in Savli was put into operation in mid-November 2008. It has created 540 million Euro of commercial revenue. In Görlitz the Group currently employs around 1,400 people, specialized in double-decker trains and train cars.
