China-Germany Top Level Meeting Calls  for  "China-Germany Business Cooperation Bases"

Parchim International Airport & Bonded Business Park Facing New Development Opportunities

 

29 January 2009, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao held talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on setting up many "China-Germany Business Cooperation Bases".

LinkGlobal International Logistics Company Ltd and its partner Nanjing High-tech Zone is registering a joint venture foreign cooperation company called "Nanjing LinkGlobal & High-tech Foreign Economic and Technical Cooperation Company Ltd" to design and implement two  China-Germany Business Cooperation Bases respectively in Nanjing and Parchim International Airport attached Bonded Business Park. The name of the joint venture company is already approved and the registration capital is already in place.

The joint venture has filed an application and  business plan for the two China-Germany Business Cooperation Bases with the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s office of the Chinese Embassy in Germany. Parchim International Airport attached Bonded Business Park has advantages for being the two country's business cooperation base in terms of  logistics and its central location in Europe. It now also serves as a gateway by air and sea to Africa and South America.

The relationship between Germany and China  is much improved through the top level meetings. Both countries have agreed to work together facing the world ongoing financial crisis.  Following the talks, both sides issued the China-Germany Joint Statement on Making Joint Efforts to Stabilize the Global Economy. The Joint Statement clearly indicated:

Promote the steady growth of bilateral trade and investment from and to both directions;
Strengthen cooperation in such areas as finance, telecommunication, logistics and transportation;
Support cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises in both countries;
Set up as soon as possible "Standard Platform of Information for the China-Germany Cooperation";
Consider as priority effort setting up many "China-German Business Cooperation Bases".
Deepen bilateral cooperation in high-tech area, especially in information, biology, new material and new energy.
During the talks, Angela Merkel sought the support from Chinese government through Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. Angela Merkel committed the support to the Parchim International Airport & Bonded Business Park project from German Government, admitting the driven power of this project to the local economy especially in the former East Region of Germany. Investments from China were called and warmly welcome to the Parchim International Airport & Bonded Business Park.
